7 Ways To Protect Your Energy As A Projector in Human Design

Projector

As a projector, you are aware that your time is short. For business owners, it can be difficult to strike the right balance between running your company and focusing on your energy. As an avid fellow Projector, I’ve come across some ways to achieve this balance and would like to show you how!

I would like to point out that the methods I’m giving you are based on my personal experiences! They’ve really helped me recognize my unique energy and design my own life and business that I’m proud of!

Here are seven ways to start conserving your projector’s energy in the field of human design for business.

  1. Stop working on “busy” tasks and instead focus on what is actually moving the needle.
  2. Reduce the complexity of your offerings and services
  3. Collaborate with aligned clients
  4. Concentrate on a single marketing strategy and then get really proficient at it!
  5. Create content that will yield the highest return on investment
  6. Make sure you have plenty of space for rest and play
  7. Pay attention to your body

Stop working on “busy” tasks and concentrate on what is actually moving the needle.

There are millions of things to get completed, I’m sure! Your to-do list never seems to end. You can name it your “get-to” list any time we like, but it’s still things we must complete! I hate to admit it, but I was a mess for the first two years of my business, doing lots of work. I was on the job all day and more than I could working a 9-5, but when the time was up, I had nothing to show for myself. I was fortunate with projects from clients to tackle, but apart from that, I wasn’t focused on the tasks that would move the needle.

When I speak of the hustle and bustle of life, I’m speaking of doing everything and anything possible. If we suffer from shiny object syndrome, we want to be visible on every platform in order to promote our company. Also, we have to change the content on our websites and rebrand, or alter our offer. You feel like you’re doing a lot of work, and you are! However, the issue is that the work you’re doing won’t aid in the growth of your company.

Review what you have been doing each day

Spend an hour and begin to write down everything you’re spending your time doing. From Monday through Friday, take note of your day’s activities. Then, take time to think about it and discuss what they’re doing for your business.

Do you think that this is the task?

  • You are getting paid, i.e., client work?
  • Expanding your reach ( lead generation)?
  • Are you actually able to find those clients?
  • Are you able to provide any kind of tangible outcome to your company?

As projectors, we’re given an insufficient amount of energy. It is time to focus on the tasks that have a difference in your company. Get started on freeing the time you have so that you have the time to rest and relax!

Reduce the complexity of your offerings and services

Make sure you are clear about the offerings and services that you offer. Two things could happen if you provide too many services:

  1. Clients can become confused or overwhelmed, which can discourage a customer from making a booking.
  2. You’re creating a lot more work than you need to!

The confusion of clients and the overwhelming

Imagine going to a place that offers a variety of choices on its menu. What is the time it takes for you to determine what you’d like to order? It’s not always a good option, you have too many choices, therefore, let’s not do this with your needs!

You should have a really good idea that you wish to sell. This is the offer that brings you joy and creates an effect on customers.

Stop putting in more effort for yourself!

Choose the service you’d like to concentrate on. Get rid of any kinks and develop a seamless flow to this. From the first time a client contacts you, to the supply and the delivery of your service. Continue to improve your method with each project that your client has. If you are 100% certain about this service from marketing to delivery, then consider adding another service or offer.

Imagine how great your nervous system feels after you’ve developed an easily repeatable procedure. It’s not necessary to think about the next steps to take on your customer journey. You don’t have to worry about getting leads, since you’ve got your strategy for marketing in place.

Being a Projector within Human Design, you need to limit the work you are doing to protect your energy.

The reduction in the number of services you provide will help reduce overwhelm from clients and will help you reduce your workload, providing an environment for you to unwind!

Collaborate with clients who are aligned

Now that we’ve created space, you must be smart with your offerings. We want to ensure your time with your clients doesn’t deplete your energy! When you work with clients who are not aligned, it forces the need to put in more effort. Imagine going out for lunch with someone with whom you don’t have a sense of alignment. You feel as though you must be in the moment all the time. Compare that to. being with someone you can be completely yourself with. Imagine the change within your body’s nervous system. How relaxed you are when you spend time with someone with whom you aren’t required to be.

Also, I’d like to point out there’s nothing wrong with spending time with clients who do not agree with us. I have wonderful friends who are drained or tired after a visit; however, I love them nonetheless and am happy spending time with them.

It’s just a matter of being discernible. How do you feel after spending time with a certain person? If you’re feeling positive and content, but a bit exhausted, then it’s okay! Make time on your calendar to unwind following your meeting with your client. If you are noticing that certain individuals make you feel tired and do not make you feel happy, avoid these people.

It’s tough to turn down clients when you’re only setting up your company. However, over time, you’ll be able to select and select your clients. Pick those that will make you feel confident about your business and yourself!

Concentrate on one strategy for marketing and become really good at it!

I touched a bit on this in my previous article. It’s easy to get caught up by different strategies for marketing. Be honest with me. I spent my first two years of business trying to master everything. What did it do to me?

  1. It certainly didn’t help my business grow.
  2. I was burned the eff out!

Be sure to protect the energy you have by paying attention to the things that light you up!

We are forced to promote our business! Ironically, the majority of people don’t start businesses to sell; we start our businesses to help others or to address a need. However, whether we want to/or not, a large portion of our time will be devoted to marketing.

Perhaps I’ve observed a trend following my tips, but I recommend doing things that feel right and make you feel good. Select a strategy for marketing that you truly enjoy! Whatever you choose, there is no right or wrong.

This is similar to the advice I gave about becoming very proficient in one area. Make sure you are clear on a single marketing strategy and message. One platform on which you can consistently be visible in real-time! When your marketing strategy is like a well-oiled machine, think about putting it on another platform.

Be able to really show your best on one platform, vs. taking a dip in different platforms.

  • Etc.

When it comes to making content, you need to ensure that it’s likely to yield the most Return on Investment (return on investment. Imagine you’ve spent hours creating content that isn’t seen by many or that dies in 48 hours. The time you’ve spent on making content that did not have a lot of impact could be better spent resting and replenishing your energy. Making content that is seen by your ideal customers and helps create a community and an audience.

This is the reason I am so obsessed with blogging and content marketing!

Give yourself plenty of room to play and rest

Everything I’ve shared in this blog so far has led us to where we are today! Create as much space as you can throughout your day for rest and play.

As a professional within Human Design, trying to protect your energy, you must:

  1. Concentrate on the tasks that help move the needle
  2. To have additional time to do whatever you want!

If you could close your eyes and dream about the perfect day, what would that look like? What would you do with your time? Imagine that it’s not just a fantasy but rather, it’s a reality. You’ve created a business that really supports your lifestyle as opposed to a lifestyle that supports your business. When you apply the strategies I mentioned above, it will make space within your daily routine. Get started living your life and preserving your energy!

Pay attention to your body

I can’t describe what you have to do to replenish your battery. I’m sure that you’re in the same boat as me, where each day is unique. Sometimes, I just want to lie on my sofa and watch Netflix throughout the day. On other days, I’d like to go outside and enjoy the outdoors. Perhaps go to a coffee place and then read a good thriller.

Be aware of your body and provide yourself with everything you need in the time you’ve freed for yourself.
